There will always be a need to translate the research done at universities to solve the critical problems facing society, and to directly promote human advancement and economic expansion.
There will always be a need to translate the research done at universities to solve the critical problems facing society, and to directly promote human advancement and economic expansion. This is the application of the Wisconsin Idea to our research enterprise: that the boundaries of the University ought to be those of the State, and indeed the world.
CRISP is led by the L&S Associate Dean for Research, collaborating with a team of Associate Directors, and support services. The associate directors at CRISP assist use-inspired researchers by matchmaking our teams to external partners; bridging different cultures and approaches through their knowledge of those in all sides; and serving as resource for available services and support that can help anchor the teams’ projects. CRISP is a one-stop contact office for those who wish to engage with the College’s researchers.
CRISP is the College of Letters & Science commitment to supporting the fluid and continuous exchange of ideas with industry, underserved communities, government, and other groups, that is needed for use-inspired research, to help researchers create successful use-inspired projects, and to sustain their current work. Without external input, our research will not be truly impactful.
